Are you a Non-Government Organization (NGO) interested in setting up a community video unit?
The NGOs that are part of the Community Video Network are always looking to welcome new members into the Network, and new NGOs who will promote and invest in the idea of community-produced content. The goal is to grow globally to 50 CVUs with 50 different NGOs in four continents.
Once an NGO decides to start a CVU, the plan is as follows:
-
First 18 months, CVU will produce 8-10 video magazines, reaching approx. 10,000 people with each film. - End of 18 months, video trainer will withdraw and the Unit will be technically proficient to produce videos on an ongoing basis within the NGO.
- Community video becomes a new program area for the NGO, until the time comes that the community can take over ownership of the unit as its community-led production house.
- Video Volunteers provides support to the CVU for years, through providing advanced training, organizing workshops for the producers, promoting mainstream distribution and joint campaigns for the producers, and guiding the Network of NGOs and Producers.
If you are interested in having your NGO be a part of this network, email us expressing your interest and we will get back to you shortly!
