Its very common to see men-women-children with buckets in early morning hours going in search of a place to relive themselves. Children are the most lucky ones, as they can sit anywhere. Men have it easy as they can find space to urinate or go to the toilet on the railway tracks or in any open corner. But for women, it is a problem of privacy and safety. Where do they go ? This video reflects on the safety measures of women living in slums. It is important to note that the absence of proper sanitation conditions, which is one's basic right as a human being, causes trauma of eve teasing and in some cases rape among women living in slums. One lady from the slums tells us a case of a rape incident and how women must time their bowl movements because of safety issues! So the question is, when and where are women safe in situations like these?
